Ella vs Cinderella

How difficult was it to compare Ella to Cinderella? Did you like or dislike Grimm's Cinderella. Why?

  1. It was very easy to spot differences between the two because Ella Enchanted gives out the thoughts exactly like Grimm's fairy tales. To be fair, I disliked Grimm's Cinderella because I felt it was to short. It did have details, but I wanted more details. I wanted more show, not tell feelings. I don't now why I felt so stubborn about this. Maybe I just wanted more

  2. It was very easy to compare both stories because there were many similarities. The most obvious are that both girls lose their mothers and their fathers remarry cruel stepmothers and evil stepsisters. I think the lesson in both stories is to be kind and stay positive. I think you reap what you sow and in both stories the stepsisters were punished in some way for their cruelty and both Ella and Cinderella have a happy ending. I liked Grimm's Cinderella because it wasn't a typical fairy tale, I liked that it has some gore in it.

  3. I think that it was pretty easy to find differences and similarities. I quite easily searched through the book. If you know the main parts of a book or story, you can find it quickly. I liked Grimm's Cinderella. As Katelyn said before it's not your average fairy tale. It has many different details in it that make it one-of-a-kind.

  4. Spotting similarities and differences of Ella Enchanted and Cinderella was a breeze. Sometimes, I thought that Ella Enchanted was a parody of Cinderella. I liked Grimm's Cinderella because his Cinderella was not like the Cinderella princess tales where they don't cut out part of their foot! Grimm's version was more amusing.
