Mazerunner

Review the book.  What did you like and dislike?

  1. What I didn't like about the story was that there were an unnecessary amount of Grievers. Also, what did the Maze have to do with saving the Flare? Two years were wasted just like that. What I did like is that Thomas wanted to become a Runner and never gave up. He even went into the maze at night only caring that two people needed help. That proved he wanted to be a Runner. By statistics, I have proven he is a Runner that was worth recruiting.

  2. I agree for once with matsyh, I think they are a unbelievable amounts of grievers. The grievers are supremely deadly, and a whole lot of them might make it impossible for them to escape the fury of death. What I liked was that Thomas was a Runner that was brave. Many of the runners don't find a lot about the maze, but Thomas was.

  3. What I didn't like about the book is the sheer randomness of it. How did this maze come to be? What did this incorporate to the Flare? How do these Grievers come, and why does this revolve about the Flare? But other than that, I did like the book's details and idea. I also like the curiosity and cliffhangers here as well. I think this book was also surprising and fun to read.

  4. What I liked most about the book is that there was finally a girl in the Maze. I liked that she was the one with the ideas that led up to the escape from the Maze. What I disliked is the goriness associated with the Changing and the Grievers.

  5. What I liked about the novel was that the characters worked together to achieve a goal that they wanted to accomplish for two years. I like stories which have lessons to be learned in them. I also like that Wicked put variables so we can see how they achieve them. What I dislike is that they all of the sudden bring up this thing called the Flare. The main reason about this book is about the maze. I think when you bring up something like that suddenly, the reader gets confused. They even didn't give enough detailed on the flare. I also disliked that the Grievers were so cruel to eat up the Gladers.
