The Mazerunner 17-33

Discuss something horrifying.

  1. Something horrifying in the book is the Greivers, because of the sheer oddness and confusion. If a normal maze is hard enough, the Grievrs make it more intense. You could die from them, and since they are infested everywhere throughout the maze, this makes them more scary. Also, the thought of one is just grosteque and robotic. Their odd nature is also very surprising. It's like a sudden scare. This is something surprising in the book.

  2. Kaylie, did you know that everything you typed in the last blog post came up double?

  3. I agree with Josh I think that something horrifying in the Maze Runner are the bugging Grievers. Their mechanic whirring and clicking. Their gruesome figure and appearance. It all adds up into the scariest figures I've read about before. I think that the gladers fighting and killing a Griever is pretty crazy.

  4. I agree with Matysh and Josh that something horrifying the maze runner is the terrifying grievers. What do they have to be there? What's the point of them, all they do is kill people that get stuck in the maze over night. I think that Thomas was very brave when he ran into the maze to help Alby and Minho because he could have died. Even though he did survive, I don't think he should have done that. Grievers are very horrifying and hope I never ever encounter with one or read anything close as horrible as them.

  5. I actually do not agree with any other students. I think the most horrifying thing in the book is the pressure that you have on yourself. That pressure might lead to suicide. Even if grievers sting you you have a chance of living. Like grievers are infested all over the maze there is still a chance that you won't die to that griever. You can die by any chance to your mind though. ! horrific thought can bamboozle your mind and make it have crazy ideas and thoughts.

  6. The Grievers are the most horrifying thing because they seem to be part mutant and part robot and their main purpose is to keep the Gladers from solving the Maze and escaping. It's bad enough to live in a strange place with no memories of your past life but the Grievers make all the more horrifying because it reminds you that you are a prisoner in this strange world with little hope of escaping.
